Blue Outbreak is the MRH Literary Magazine. Most of the writing comes from students in English III Writing Workshop. There are also a few pieces from seniors in AP Literature.
Once the pieces are complete, students in Mr. Schultejans' Computer Art Studio class create the images to accompany the writing, and they design the layout and the other features of the publication. Hard copies are printed and assembled by students in the High School Print Shop class.
Blue Outbreak is an annual publication. Any MRH HS students in grades 9-12 may submit writings by sharing a document to
litmag@mrhschools.net. The submission deadline is the day before spring break.
MRH High School's Mobile Journalism (MoJo) program is under the direction of Otto Schultejans. Students learn to tell stories through creative use of video and graphics. Topics range from District policies and initiatives, athletics, student organizations and more.
