The Sherwood Forest Quest Program anchors the Sherwood Forest experience. Youth attend a residential summer camp supported by continued programming during the school year. The program's focus is helping kids develop the social-emotional skills and academic attitudes necessary to succeed in school and later life. Our residential program consists of traditional camp activities such as canoeing and tie dye, as well as reading, ecology, and social and emotional learning. 1st and 2nd graders attend a 7-day program, 3rd-5th graders attend a 14-day program, and 6th-9th graders attend a 29-day program.
80% of our spaces are reserved for kids who qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. We provide transportation to/from St. Louis on the first and last day of the session. We also provide sheets, sleeping bags, hiking equipment, food, sunscreen, etc. If we find that a child doesn't have something they need while at camp (like a swimsuit or extra socks) we will provide it! We also have a nurse and a "camper care" team to help with any physical, social or emotional health needs a child may have.
